A Recipe Sent To My Father

1 calf's foot (cut in quarters)
8 cloves of garlic (coaresly chopped)
1 bay leaf
1 onion (coarsely chopped)
2 hard-boiled eggs (sliced)
Salt and pepper to taste (watch the sodium)

Wash the calf's foot thoroughly, then soak in cold water for one hour and drain. Place the calf's foot in a saucepan, cover with water, and simmer for two hours. Add the onion, garlic, and bay leaf, and simmer for one additional hour. Remove the meat from the bones, and arrange in a flat pan with the hard boiled eggs. Pour the liquid into the pan, and refrigerate until a hard gel forms. Cut into squares and serve.

Ok folks, I kid you not. This really was sent to my father. Why would anyone in their right mind eat gelatinous egg meat? Yeah, I'm going to go vomit now.
