While searching for friends on facebook I found this amazing quote.

Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer. -Rainer Maria Rilke

Down with the Sickness

I think I have a fever or something. The only cure is more cowbell. But honestly, I'm not feeling good. I've had about 6 hours sleep in the past two days.

Heart break

I'm so incredibly heart broken. My heart hurts. I'm not supposed to talk to her for three months. How did I get hurt so badly so many times? Part of me is so angry. So angry for being a doormat. For letting myself be treated so poorly. For never telling how I felt and letting it go so far. I'm hurt by the conversation last night. "I determined a long time ago that we would never date again" resonates through my head. Maybe she doesn't want people close to her. But, I thought this stupid heart break would be over. I have some really supportive friends. And I really need a hug. Because none of my best friends are here. Because I need a hug. I can't stop crying and I'm ready to collapse. Last night I asked a guy out and he said yes which I am both excited and fearful for. I don't think I could go out with a girl for awhile. Today I took her photo off my dresser and put it away. I'm not sure what to do with Rufus. More importantly I'm not sure what to do with my heart. I called AGB last night for 3 am and I was just hysterical. I don't know how she ever calmed me down, but she did. And she made me feel better, but it still hurts. I want to blame myself, but I have to force myself to not. I have to force myself to realize that I am a good person. I wasn't always the best, but I tried hard. It doesn't mean that she didn't. Three months is a long time. But it's not my job to take care of Mariah. I have two jobs right now. Take care of me and do well in school. It's a challenge. But, we'll see how it goes. Sigh. Fuck fuck fuck. I think I'll go to Chicago with my plane ticket. Margaret seemed pretty eager for me to do it. And I would really love to just break down there. It would be a nice escape. Deep breaths. One day at a time. FUCK!

"...and then I'd blow raspberries all day long..."

"You have beautiful eyes. You can usually tell if someone is intelligent by their eyes and with you it is more than that you have this twinkle of mischevious nature. I can't bear to make you sad because I can see that twinkle dim and it's heart wrecking"

"Your sense of humor is amazing. You have this great ATHF sense of humor. I love the random things you say sometimes. It's like dialogue from a movie, it's that great."

"You're damn smart. I find it odd that here I am at 25 and I am coming to you for life advice and I have been since you were 15. It goes beyond smart."

"If I was your girlfriend I'd spend half my time complimenting you...'Sara kiss me so I never forget how your lips feel.'"

"You are going to make someone so happy... there will be some lucky girl out there and if she can handle you...then wow."

"You are an exceptional person in every way, shape, and form."

Manly men

How I Acted Like A Grown Up Tonight

So, my roommate, whom I will refer to as Hannah, had a computer crisis tonight when I was on the phone talking to Mariah. So I gave her the "I'm busy give me a minute/fuck off" signal and she disappeared. I went into her room to fix her computer. The computer basically is dead and after contacting a computer nerd friend of mine, discussing the issue we came to the conclusion that the harddrive would have to be swiped. Hannah asks me if I can save any of her files on my external hard drive. Now, normally I would say yes, but there are two major problems with this. Problem 1 is that my hard drive is formatted to be Mac only. Problem 2 is that I can't get to her information because her computer won't boot. So, I explain to her that I can't do that and state the aforementioned reasons. I then wipe her hard drive and let her computer start over new. She keeps asking about all of her files, and I explain that there will be nothing left. So, then she ends up calling her mom at about 1:30 AM and is crying on the phone hysterical about the bad day she had. Nothing wrong with that, except if I'm calling my mom that late I better be in the hospital or suicidal. I digress. So, she's on the phone with her mom and I ask her if she has the CD from the school UITS services so I can set up her internet. She gives me the CD and as I am setting things up she asks if she still has all of her bookmarks. I explain that she'll have nothing left and she starts raising her voice to me and going "well I don't know I'm computer illiterate!"
I calmly retort "Hannah, please do not yell at me."
"I have every right to yell because I am upset."
"Hannah I understand that you're upset, but don't yell at me." She then continues to raise her voice at me so I calmly get up out of her chair and leave the room. As I leave the room she is sobbing violently on the phone about how she can't take all of this stress. As I was sitting there it made me realize that my mom was right and that she's just an immature kid. It also reminded me how AGB once told me that I was warm and compassionate to all of my friends, but extremely cool to those who bugged me. It's hard to be sympathetic to her issues with her ex-boyfriend when I think he's in the right. She treated him poorly. I feel bad that she had a bad day. We all have them and they are without a doubt difficult to deal with in general. It's hard to be in a fight, have your ex say it is officially over, and lose everything on your computer. I am just glad that I kept my cool.
